#2 The Prophecies of Christs Coming in the OT by Shinji Amari & LD Foreman

There are many verses in the Old and New Testament Bible concerning His Second Coming. Some of those prophecies are listed here:

1.) Prophecies in the Old Testament:
  1. The Lord will come as a judge and mediator to establish peace forever. "He shall judge between the nations, And rebuke many people;The shall beat their swords into plowshares, And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, Neither shall they learn war anymore." Isaiah 2:4
    2.  The day of the Second Coming of Christ is called "The Day of the Lord," and "the Day of God's Anger" for mankind of unfaithfulness to Christ and inequities of man.
Behold, the day of the Lord comes,
Cruel, with both wrath and fierce anger,
To lay the land desolate and He will destroy its sinners from it.
For the stars of heaven and their constellations
Will not give their light;
The sun will be darkened in its going forth,
And the moon will not cause its light to shine.
"I will punish the world for its evil,
And the wicked for their iniquity;
I will halt the arrogance of the proud,
And will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.
I will make a mortal more rare than fine gold,
A man more than the golden wedge of Ophir.
Therefore I will shake the heavens,
And the earth will move out of her place,
In the wrath of the LORD of hosts
And in the day of His fierce anger.
Isaiah 13:9-13, Isaiah 24:11-22, "the Day of Revenge" 63:1-4

    3. The Lord will come to reign absolutely as the king of kings at Jerusalem (Zion)
"Then the moon will be disgraced And the sun ashamed; For the LORD of hosts will reign On Mount Zion and in Jerusalem And before His elders, gloriously. Isaiah 24:23

   4. Jesus, who is God, will bring salvation to Israel, heal the sick, restore the land of Israel with blessings of nature, and the Israelites who were scattered to the four corners of the earth will return to their native country, Israel and to whom He will change their sorrows into joy.

Isaiah 35:4-10  Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save you.  (5)  Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.  (6)  Then shall the lame man leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.  (7)  And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.  (8)  And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein.  (9)  No lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk there:  (10)  And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 51:3  For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

   5. The Lord will come with fire to judge people.

Isaiah 66:15-16  For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.  (16)  For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.
1 Corinthians 3:13  Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

    6. "Jehovah" in Hebrew suggests the return of Christ. This word in Japanese is "the Lord" in the new translation and "Jehovah" in the old translation.

This word is mentioned 4,700 times in the Bible, but the Jews were told not to take the name of the Lord in vain (Exodus 20:7), so they did not utter the name out of a feeling of awe. Therefore, the correct pronunciation of this word is not clear till today, but the meaning can be defined from its writing. As God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." (Exodus 3:14) In other words, it is a be-verb in Hebrew, and this contains all the states of the verb, "was, is, will be." Jesus Christ said " I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, " says the Lord, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." (Revelations 1:8)

Therefore, the Second Coming of Jesus is included in the name of Jehovah as the name exist forever.
